Community Service

How much can an association like Fulton County Retired Teachers Association volunteer to the community even during a pandemic?  Try the equivalent of $42,170.52 which represents 1,709 hours of volunteer hours at a rate of approximately $24.70/hour.

Pictured below are some of our “Top Volunteers” that were recognized at our April 29th luncheon including (seated) Cheryl Downs (41 hours), top volunteer Kay Horn (385.5 hours), as well as (standing) Ilene Howard (210 hours), Rosemary Clemans (49 hours), Chei Meiser (36 hours), and Jeri Good (362 hours). Our other volunteers include Charlotte Miller (187 hours),  Barb Absi (110 hours), Linda Wade (210.5 hours but not pictured) and Betty Martens (70 hours).

Special Achievement awards were given to Jeri Good, Kay Horn, Linda Wade, and Ilene Howard.  A replica check for $42,170.52 was presented to Rochester Mayor Ted Denton and Ann King, RSVP Director.

 

Association Luncheons

Our April 29th luncheon was the kickoff our summer schedule.  FCRTA had our April luncheon at The Streamliner Restaurant in Rochester, Indiana.  It was great seeing everyone in person and we were thrilled to have two new attendees.

Those members in attendance include Stephenia Barkman, Jeri Good, Ilene Howard, Rosemary Clemans, Anne King, Cheryl Downs, Carol Calloway, Connie Terpstra, Gordon Bohs, Katie CmCarter, Judy Climie, Diane Weaver, Cherie Meiser, Joellen Wynn, and newly retired members Lauie Long and Jan Morgan.
